The new website for Imperial Leather’s Skinbliss brand has been developed by CodeComputerlove.

The site includes Sophie Sumner, a contestant from Britain’s Next Top Model who has become and the face of the national digital ad campaign for Skinbliss.

The Manchester-based-digital agency also handle the digital design for other PZ Cussons brands including Original Source and Carex.

The site includes an interactive product range section, where visitors are invited to discover more about each of the three shower lotions and their respective benefits.

It also includes a Skin Science section with a video showing why Skinbliss is good for skin and  an area dedicated to Skinbliss’ involvement with hit show Britain’s Next Top Model. This includes video clips with interviews and behind the scenes footage of the photoshoot that secured Sumner the 12 month contract with Skinbliss.

Caroline Reynolds, senior brand manager for Imperial Leather,  said: “In addition to supporting the Skinbliss product range and communicating its features and benefits, the site was the ideal vehicle to maximize our involvement with Britain’s Next Top Model and our winner Sophie Sumner. It also brings to life the brand’s strapline, ‘Skin Is In’.

“We’ve also added additional features, such as the videos, flash animation and interactive hotspots that reinforce the brand’s personality and encourage users to interact with the brand. Overall we’ve aimed for an aspirational, luxurious feel to the site, designed to appeal to our female target audience. Background music on the site has been used to add to the experience and create impact.”

Yippee it's 2004 all over again. I shall give CodeComputerLove the benefit of the doubt regarding that first screen. Maybe the client was insistent. Maybe they thought the old Dior site was cool or something. Yawn.

If you take away the very small and bland headline and even smaller text, it really does looks like an ad' for haircare. Not thought out too well!

What a load of rubbish you guys talk, would you have liked it better if the woman was bald???? Yes if you take away the headline it might look like a haircare ad, maybe even a ghd ad, but it is there isn't it? The big fat clue is in the word 'skin'. It's on there twice, idiots.

The problem with offering a 'no flash' alternative Andy (which would be a THIRD option on the splash screen) is that people might click it. And we can't have that can we! Can't help thinking that the most practical solution would have been a hybrid - Flash & XHTML.

Not knocking the site par se... it's very nice. But the decision to go all flash these days is questionable.

Anon 09.38. I think you may have hit on something with your suggestion of a bald woman.
A bald woman would be attention grabbing, very sexy and it would be a lot more relevant as it is an ad' for "skin" and not hair..now who's the idiot?
