Golley Slater Scotland has announced that it has appointed Christina Kelly as head of PR.

Kelly joins having previously headed up the PR division of now defunct Barkers Scotland which closed last month, leaving its entire staff unemployed.

She joined at the beginning of 2005 from AXA where she was director of corporate communications.

Previous to this Kelly was board director and head of professional & financial services at Hill & Knowlton.

Ian Dommett, managing director of Golley Slater Scotland, commented: "We delighted Christina is joining us.  The opportunity to recruit such an experienced and well-regarded consultant was too good to pass up.  Christina will lead the PR team here in Edinburgh and will build on the achievements of the last 12 months.  It is a sign of our commitment to creating the best integrated marketing communications agency in Scotland."
