The website for production facility The Pie Factory, based within Media City UK, has launched having been developed over a six-week-period by Code Computerlove.

The Manchester-based agency was appointed without pitch to create the site as a result of its ongoing digital work for Media City.

The most prominent feature of the site is the heavy use of video with Code having created an online walkthrough of the space shot in High Definition.

Also available is a history of The Pie Factory along with productions which have been shot there.

Alex Comyn, account director at Code, explained: “The original brief was ‘How do you sell an empty space?’ because film makers are looking for a place which can be exactly dressed for their specifications without any hindrances or special needs and is easy to get to. The site was also built to be able to showcase the location in the heart of Manchester and is an amazing production space which is already being used by leading television and film companies.”

The site went live at the end of last week and will continue to be developed by the agency in the future.

Drum Beat was the design agency which rebranded The Pie Factory and designed its communications collateral.
