Walsall College has appointed Seal to work on a launch event for its new campus.

Seal has created Urban Festival which will be stage in November when the new £64million Wisemore Campus will open.

The one-day event will include performances from high-profile artists and also a celebration of local creativity with ‘Walsall’s Got Teen Talent’.

More hands on activities will also take place.

The agency will manage the Urban Festival and look to engage media with regular updates on what the community can look forward to.

Nigel Pipkin, director at PR for Seal, explained: “We created the Urban Festival event to engage with the entire Walsall Community and celebrate the opening of what will become one of the town’s most iconic buildings.

“The new campus will be central to the future regeneration of Walsall and we’re delighted that Seal will be playing a key role in its success.

The new campus will open to students in September and is seeking admissions for its courses, which range from business and management to hairdressing. Part-time learners number 7000 and over 3000 students attend full-time.

Meanwhile, Seal has also helped with the design of Walsall FC’s new strip. The agency created artwork for Walsall Hospice Trust that will emblazon the team’s shirts from the start of the new season tomorrow.

NHS Walsall is the official shirt sponsor but has given the space to the Trust as part of its support for the hospice which is due to open next year.
