Frozen food company Findus has appointed Driven to its £5m advertising account.

The Cheshire agency was appointed after an undisclosed pitch and will create integrated campaigns to launch a range of new Findus products later this year.

The appointment follows Findus taking an extensive review of its product range, aimed at "unlocking the true potential of the brand," according to its head of marketing, Sarah Clarke.

New products were an outcome of the review, and Clarke said: "To ensure that we get the maximum return possible from these initiatives, it is critical that we work with the right agency partners."

Driven partner Nick Brookes added: "This is a great win for us on a number of levels. Not only does it give us the opportunity to work with another well known brand with lots of untapped potential, but it means that we will be working with a client team that is truly driven to take the brand on to greater things.”

Maverick created Findus's last major ad campaign, which starred celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Heavily animated worms/berries/crispy-coated food groups with progressive yet insightful jingle writing is our art in its truest form -'tis the industry at large who are missing a trick here I fear.

Well done Driven I say, I haven't forgotten a single one of your commercials yet!
