The Gecko Theatre Company has appointed Hot Tin Roof to handle its online and offline publicity during this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Edinburgh-based PR agency will promote the company’s dance and physical theatre production of The Overcoat which will be headlining at The Pleasance Grand from the 13 to 29 August.

Hot Tin Roof shall also target traditional news outlets and explore social media channels including Twitter and Facebook.

Kate Sparshatt, producer at Gecko, said: “With so many performers taking part in The Fringe we know how difficult it can be to stand out from the crowd. Good publicity is essential to a successful run so we’re delighted to have Hot Tin Roof on board.”
