The refresh of the Yorkshire Building Society’s website is to be handled by GraphicoDMG following a competitive pitch.

The pitch was overseen by Nigel York, design and content manager for Yorkshire Building Society who has tasked the Berkshire-based digital agency with initially focusing on the savings area of the sire.

The brief will see GraphicoDMG look to improve the application process and improve the online experience for users.

The key objectives will be to encourage existing customers to invest more and across a broader range of products, and to attract new customers.

Brian Taylor, group account director at GraphicDMG will head up the account.

GraphicoDMG’s role will initially focus on information architecture and usability while the Ultimate  aim will be to streamline the customers’ online journey to make it easier to invest with the Yorkshire online.

York explained:  “The work we are doing with GraphicoDMG is part of a phased approach to updating our website.  As customers increasingly use the internet – whether to research products and rates before coming in to branches or to invest directly – it is vital that the website gives them the information and reassurance they need as they make the critical decision to invest with us.  We are confident that GraphicoDMG will revitalise the site and ensure that our online channel works even harder for us.”
