Gecko New Media has been named the first in Scotland to be appointment as a Certified Solution Provider by Denmark-headquartered Umbraco.

Umbraco is the technology behind some 50,000 websites worldwide, including Vogue, Heinz and Peugeot and wired.com. Gecko has implemented Umbraco CMS for Clients such as Yell Adworks, David Boni and the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society.

“We’re over the moon about becoming the first certified solution provider in Scotland,” said Dave Malins, technical director at Gecko New Media. “We’ve been working with Umbraco for quite a while now, and are very active in the umbraco community."
 
After an extensive review of Microsoft CMS solutions on the market, we quickly came to the conclusion that Umbraco is the best CMS framework offering available”
 
“The fact that we are the first in Scotland to achieve this makes it all the better and more than we could have hoped for.”

Meanwhile, Gecko has taken on two new developers and promoted Dave Malins to Technical Director
