This Thursday, The Marketing Industry Network (MIN) will ask ‘Have I Got Booze for You?’ when it hosts a debate with some of Scotland’s most experienced alcohol marketers.
Sera Miller, managing director of Material and chairman of MIN Scotland will chair the debate which will include Jack Law: Chief Executive, Alcohol Focus Scotland, Rob Bruce - head of PR, Global Marketing, Whyte & Mackay Brand, Carlo Citti: owner of Glasgow based Campus group and Tom Gill from Scottish & Newcastle as they discuss many aspects of the controversial marketing sector.
The debate follows recent calls from the British Medical Association which has called for a ban on alcohol advertising and marketing - a lucrative revenue stream for much of the marketing industry.
The panel will discuss the future of the sector in the context of both the current market and the self-regulation vs impending legislation debate, be it as a potential platform for positive social change, a key contributor to Scotland’s tourism revenue or its place in our culture’s heritage and future legacy.
The debate takes place in the White & Mackay building in Glasgow on Thursday 17 September between 6pm-8pm.
