Hookson has launched a retail advertising campaign for Fired Earth, part of the AGA Rangemaster Group.

Having undertaken a variety of projects for the company since first securing the business last year, Hookson’s latest assignment is to advertise Fired Earth’s floor and wall tile collection.

Naomi Askins, director at Hookson, said: “Given the current tough retail economic climate (especially in the home and decorating sector) Fired Earth approached us to broaden its range of wall and floor tiles to new customer groups and increase footfall into stores. Our first step was to undertake extensive internal and consumer research – the results of which reaffirmed our own beliefs that there was a need to demonstrate not only the beautiful variety of tiles on offer, but their affordability as well.”

After developing a number of possible routes, Hookson commissioned London photographer, Richard Foster, to portray the selection available.

As well as being used in-store, full page and half page executions break this month in a variety of Home, Interior and Self Build publications.

This looks more like a catalogue page than an ad

yup its dull the headline is poor and far too small which is why if you want an ad campaign use a proper ad agency not a design agency

'After developing a number of possible routes...'

Doesn't sound like they're too proud of this themselves, which makes me wonder who at Hookson put it forward.

Clearly missing Malcy in their creative department. Whatever reputation for decent integrated work they might have had will disappear quick if they keep this up.

What a depressing ad'. Perhaps the 'London photographer" should invest in some new lighting equipment!

Fired Earth is a great brand with high quality, inspiringly beautiful products. This ad is dull. It's one thing to communicate that something aspirational can be affordable but another to make it appear uninteresting and cheap. What a great opportunity missed.
