The Roses Design Awards has revealed the final nominations for the awards' inaugural gaming categories.

This year gaming categories were introduced to the Roses Design Awards, in association with Invest in Nottingham. 

These categories were designed with the gaming industry in mind to celebrate and reward this thriving community in the UK.

A stand-alone judging panel was assembled for these new categories, including:

• Ross Sleight – Virgin Games
• David Crookes – Videogame Nation
• Professor Tanya Kizwinska - Brunel University
• Rob Heasley - Naked Penguin Boy
• David Thompson – Denki
• Jeff Coghlan – Matmi
• Stuart Dredge – Freelance journalist

Companies nominated include Axis, Fluid, Headfirst, Koko Digital, DKPM, InboxDMG, Katapult, Tamba, Realtime UK, Cobra Mobile, Connect 2 Media and Matmi.
