The University of Leeds has relaunched its events and conference service under new branding and with a new website.

Previously known as Universally Leeds, the university's conference and events venue can now be found at www.meetinleeds.co.uk, a site created with Manchester agency CQ2.

The new-look coincides with a £12.2m investment in a fitness complex and swimming pool at the university, expected to be open to delegates by next summer, and new halls of residence, which will be open to conferences in 2011.

Richard Handscombe, head of sales and marketing for the residential and commercial services department, said: "Our new strapline is ‘Meet in Leeds’ and we think it’s particularly apt due to the fantastic work that organisations such as Welcome to Yorkshire, Conference Leeds and the University itself are all doing to ensure Leeds and Yorkshire is seen as a destination for both tourists and businesses alike.”
