VisitScotland’s Business Tourism Unit has appointed CM Porter Novelli to handle its PR for up to the next three years following an initial twelve month period.

Following a tendering process, the Edinburgh-based agency has been tasked to manage PR for Scotland’s business tourism industry based on its skills within the sector. The company held the contract previously from 2004 to 2008.

Business tourism in Scotland is worth £723m annually business visitors spending 1.6 times more than leisure visitors.

Angela Casey, managing director of CM Porter Novelli, commented: “This is a terrific account win for us and Scotland’s meetings and conference market is something in which we believe passionately.  This fits nicely into our portfolio of public sector, tourism and business accounts and we look forward very much to working with the team at VisitScotland again.”
