The website for The Helix Project – a new community greenspace which will be located between Falkirk and Grangemouth – is to be created by Whitespace.

The Edinburgh-digital and design agency won the project to create the site for the £45million development site following a tender process which is being driven in partnership by Falkirk Council, British Waterways Scotland and Central Scotland Forest.

Scottish artist Andy Scott has also been commissioned to create to large-scale Kelpies for the site.

Bill Moore, head of communications for The Helix Trust, said: “The website will be an important tool in our efforts to engage with a wide range of audiences and inspire local people to become involved in the development and future running of the project.”

Iain Valentine, creative director at Whitespace, said: “This is a truly innovative and exciting project, and adds a unique level of integrated engineering, social connectivity and enterprise to the Falkirk and Grangemouth area.”
