Nottingham-based BCS Public Relations is working with the Nottinghamshire Convention Bureau to help increase levels of business tourism in the county.

The Bureau, which is the business tourism arm of Experience Nottinghamshire, has appointed BCS to handle its PR account as it strives to make Nottingham one of the top three UK cities for conferencing by 2010.

“This is a major new account for us and will see us promoting Nottinghamshire’s business tourism offering on an international scale,” commented BCS PR director Trevor Palmer.

“As a Nottingham-based agency, it’s great for us to be able to turn the spotlight on our own county and help to bring about a boost to the regional economy. We’ll be making sure that event organisers around the world know that Nottingham is the perfect host destination for conferences, meetings and exhibitions.”
