An employment focused campaign launched by Reed in Partnership alongside Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Glasgow City Council is being promoted by New Media Corp.

‘Keep Glasgow Working’ will focus on the need for a greater focus on skills, the economy and employability in Glasgow and aims to provide solutions as unemployment continues to rise.

The campaign includes the launch of a new website for employers in the city which provides practical advice on staff retention as well as the preservation and creation of jobs. The site has also been designed to allow companies to share experiences and help them prepare for economic recovery.

The campaign will also promote the Chamber’s legal advice helpline, while the Evening Times has agreed to act as media partner, in a deal negotiated by New Media Corp.

Arvind Salwan, director of New Media Corp said: “Reed in Partnership has helped nearly 20,000 people move from benefits into work in Glasgow. The company has seen the impact the recession has had on the unemployed and on employers.  Keep Glasgow Working will help provide solutions to the problem of unemployment in the city and, in turn, wider economic recovery plans.”
