Glasgow Airport has tasked The Bridge with creating a new brand identity alongside the marketing communications activity following a four-way-pitch.
The Airport, part of BAA Group has an investment plan of around £150m in place for the next decade, with the bulk of that being spent before the 2014 Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow.
Margaret Byrnes, director of The Bridge, commented: “Glasgow Airport has big plans for the future and a great heritage to build on, and we are very much looking forward to creating a strong, new brand identity for Glasgow Airport as well as new campaign work.”

Re-name it the Smeato international.
eh eh eh eh eh. If we'd only known it was pitching. Well done Bridge.
Well done guys
Precisely. What does an airport need a logo for— nobody really cares. Its an airport and its in Glasgow. It does what is says on the tin. Thats all the public care about.
Unfortunately this is a classic case of the senior management shit scared of addressing the core problems; probably staff morale (as they keep sacking everyone, falling spend per head, and falling footfall).
Reduce your fees, stop sacking all your staff , reducing salaries, employing crap management and make it more accessible, then you'll make more money. Easy.
I'm sorry but in this instance this wee tarting-up exercise won't make the slightest bit of difference.
Probably a decent £25k or something for the agency though, but money down the drain in my view.
Well done guys.
But surely as Glasgow falls under the BAA brand guidelines it already has an identity?!?
Pure dead brilliant!!!!!!
Have Glasgow Airport asked BAA Group?
Or perhaps is this a re-brand before they selling off the airport.
That is the only valid reason I can see for this project. But well done for beating off 3 others to win.
Can I propose a new name too - Paisley International Airport.
Nice win chaps.
New identity? Is this part of police protection scheme?
Great win!
