Salford City Council is working with Cheshire's Origin Creative to promote the return of its Christmas ice rink.
The agency was appointed to the council's design roster in August, and won the brief to create a campaign for the rink, which is returning in December for its third year, following a creative pitch.
Neighbouring city Manchester already has a festive ice rink and Origin's campaign - expected to include press, outdoor and web advertising, a microsite and support literature - is intended to encourage skaters to head to the Salford side of the River Irwell.
Origin's new business director, Duncan Slater, said: “Having been appointed to Salford’s creative roster in August, we’re delighted to kick off the relationship with such an exciting project. It promises to be a fantastic series of events and we’re really glad to be playing our part in its success”
Lindsey Hebden, tourism marketing manager at Salford City Council, added: "The creative features an ice skating snowflake which residents and visitors alike can expect to see all over the city during the next few weeks."
