An iPhone application for Scottish property portal GSPC has been developed by Edinburgh and Glasgow-based Mercurytide to allow users to find homes for sale across the central belt of Scotland.

The application allows access to GSPC’s website through iPhones and is now available for download through iTunes.

The site advertises around 8,000 homes for sale across Scotland and allows users to search by area, price range and number of bedrooms, while also checking the property’s status and price, multiple images alongside a detailed description.

Bill Scouller, chief executive of GSPC said:  “The advent of the iPhone has revolutionised the way people access web sites.  Users see their iPhone as a mobile PC rather than a mobile telephone and this trend is only going to accelerate as more iPhone competitors are launched.  GSPC is responding to the needs of existing users and anticipating the needs of future users in launching applications that allow people to search for homes from wherever they are and in the way that is most convenient for them.”
