driven creates 'mind blowing' MOSI ad

The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester is launching a TV campaign with driven to promote its new exhibition, Da Vinci - The Genius.

Running in the Granada region in the north west, the ad focuses on a close up of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa while a voiceover explains that the man who painted this masterpiece was also a "visionary engineer, mathematician, anatomist, architect, inventor, sculptor, botanist and musician".

The ad ends with the Mona Lisa's head exploding and the voiceover saying: "Mind blowing".

Graham Drury, partner at driven, said: “This ad is an indication of the scale of Da Vinci’s genius - visitors to mosi will get to see the full extent of it for themselves.”

The campaign breaks on Friday during Emmerdale and will run for four weeks. Media was handled by Mediacom North.

Tony Hill, head of business development at MOSI, said: "The commercial is simple and powerful in equal measure.  We’re delighted with the result and anticipating a great demand for exhibition tickets."

What a pity this is not a work of 'genius'

Really nice ad and I'm sure Tony's optimism will be realised in exhibition ticket sales.

It's good, but it's no singing and dancing worm!

Exploding fruit. Exploding painting.

Why didn't the worm explode?
