A new email marketing campaign for Visit Leeds to promote its tourist attractions during the festive period has been devised by Rippleffect.
The Liverpool digital agency created winter campaign which offers the chance to win two weekends in Leeds next years has been sent to over 40,000 inboxes.
The ‘Festive Leeds’ campaign is the first in a series of digital marketing initiatives to be launched by Rippleffect for Visit Leeds. It forms part of a 12 month contract between the digital agency and Leeds’ tourism body to attract leisure visitors.
Andrew Binns, senior business development manager at Rippleffect, said: “With an attractive prize that encourages people to forward to contacts, the campaign is a cost effective way to gather behavioural information, while raising awareness of what’s on offer in Leeds during the festive period.
“We worked closely with Visit Leeds to ensure the information truly reflects the city and its appeal.”
Jo Farrington at Visit Leeds, said: "This is the first email marketing game we have undertaken and have high hopes that it will meet our objectives of driving traffic to our new Festive Leeds website, capturing new data for our use and raising the profile of Leeds as a contemporary city."
