Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust has recently been rebranded by D4 which was then transferred across its new website and communications.

The Trust also tasked the Sheffield-design agency with creating a more enjoyable experience online through its website and convey its importance.

D4 began by giving the Trust a new brand architecture which would be rolled out across al future marketing and promotional material which would also be recognizable across each of the Museum’s sub sectors - Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet; Shepherd Wheel Workshop and Kelham Island Museum.

Once completed, the agency began work on the website deciding that the main principle would be for it to act as a more effective marketing tool to attract new visitors to the museums through colourful images.

The site is database driven to allow content to be managed in-house, and the use of social media feeds, a blog and a newsletter link.

The new brand was also rolled out across a range of promotional literature for various events and an educational campaign to schools in the region.
