According to reports this morning ITV has reopened negotiations to relocate from Quay Street in the city centre of Manchester to Media City in Salford.

The relocation, if it goes through, will mean that the legendary set of Coronation Street will be demolished and that ITV will become a neighbour of the BBC which is also moving to the location.

Bryan Gray, chairman of, Peel Media, the developers of MediaCity confirmed that the company has offered ITV a package to relocate.
