Toby Nicol, former director of communications and corporate affairs at EasyJet has joined Findus Group in the newly created role of director of corporate affairs.

Nicol will be based at the Grimbsy based UK offices of the European food company having left EasyJet last year where he defined and implemented a global communications strategy for the airline.

Chris Britton, chief executive of the Findus Group, commented: “Toby is a heavyweight communications professional with a strong track record in leading communications innovation in fast-moving, international environments. He brings a wealth of strategic experience to the business and will play a central role in transforming Findus Group in the years ahead. I am delighted to welcome him to the team.”

The appointment closely follows the hiring of Nick Jackson as chief marketing officer for Findus Group with responsibilities for consumer insight for the Group and its key food brands, Young’s Seafood and Findus. He will manage the development of new categories, enabling the Group to build its portfolios effectively in line with changing consumer demands.
