The Northern Irish Government has refreshed its advertising work to promote Investor’s in People having appointed The Bridge to handle its advertising account, with new creative work scheduled to run later in the year.

This is the first account won by The Bridge from the Northern Ireland Government Campaign Advertising Framework since its appointment at the end of 2008.

While the agency has been tasked to initially refresh previously used campaign work, a strategy being used across the rest of the UK public sector in a bid to save money, it has been also been appointed to work on a brand new advertising campaign for 2010.

Alan Clarke, managing partner at The Bridge explained the agency’s move to get onto the framework: “We identified the opportunity to grow our business in to Northern Ireland some time ago and a crucial first step was securing a place on the Northern Ireland Government framework.  That provided the opportunity to tender for this important piece of business.”

Clarke continued: “Investors in People can help organisations increase productivity and profitability through developing their workforce.  In the current economic climate it’s never been more relevant.  However, businesses may feel that they have so many other priorities to deal with right now that workforce development can get pushed down the list.  We’re very much looking forward to bringing our experience in developing and delivering effective campaigns to the challenge and working with the Northern Ireland Government Advertising Unit.”

Didn't realise there was a government in Northern Ireland. For 1.7 million people. A joke. What next? A Welsh Assembly?
