The joint venture between Storm ID and Family which produced digital agency Perfect Storm has come to an end.

Perfect Storm has now become a new division of Edinburgh digital agency Storm ID with MD Vivienne McLaren (pictured) being appointed as marketing director for Storm ID wile the rest of the Perfect Storm team will work alongside its existing business teams.

The joint partnership was launched between the two companies in 2008 and saw Perfect Storm work with clients such as ICS Learning and Semi Chem.

Paul McGinness said: “Viv and the rest of her digital marketing team at Storm ID will build on recent successes and continue to deliver great results for our clients. The addition of the team into Storm ID ensures we can provide expertise across key areas of digital marketing activity including strategy, search (paid and natural), social media, online media planning and buying, affiliates, lead generation and eCRM. We look forward to a promising future in digital marketing.”

Edinburgh advertising agency Family has brought in Pat Kelly, founder of Scottishjobs.com who will handle future digital communications for the company.

Ian Wright, managing director of Family; said ‘The Perfect Storm venture taught us a lot about the development of our digital offering. It was successful and profitable but in the end was not quite what either party was hoping for. With the appointment of pat Kelly as Digital Director at Family we can now bring our digital offering more in line with the culture of family and the creativity we offer. I think the fact that all this has been done very amicably demonstrates the professionalism of both businesses. We wish our friends at Storm ID all the best as they move forward”

let's see if their other profitable company venture in NI goes the same way - I suspect that their 'culture' of remaining wee and sweet means that they cannot handle any integrated processes - it doesn't look good at all if you have to close the only thing that makes money - kinda sounds like a rubbish excuse for not helping and being told to pish off by StormID
