Tellylinks.com launch to be handled by New Media Corp

Tellylinks.com, a new UK service which will provide contextual live online links alongside television viewing is to launch next month, with New Media Corp handling its promotion.

The campaign will target broadcasters and digital trade as well as consumer media to raise the profile of the company and its sponsorship of Five’s US drama Numb3rs, which will look to drive traffic to the site where they will be able to access a range of information prompted initially through the show’s content.

The sponsorship deal will run across, Five, Five USA and Five USA+1.

Arvind Salwan, director of New Media Corp, explained: “TellyLinks.com is an innovative new service that promises to revolutionise the television viewing experience. TellyLinks.com will change the way we interact jointly with television and web, which is growing as a shared experience; with 36% of UK broadband users aged 16-55 having both the TV and Internet on in the same room every day, with one in four on the Internet at the same time as watching television.”

Jeff Henry, CEO of TellyLinks.com, added: “TellyLinks.com has been developed to bring television viewing and web browsing closer by offering individual consumers the chance to simultaneously link the two media together. We’re delighted to have appointed New Media Corp. The agency demonstrated an excellent understanding of broadcast and digital platforms and, more importantly, they quickly identified the exciting opportunities that TellyLinks.com offers to consumers, broadcasters and advertisers alike.”
