Specsavers has agreed a six-figure sponsorship deal with STV regions to support the broadcaster’s national weather reports.
The deal begins on 1 February and will see the Specsavers animation, created by the in-house team, appear three times a day at the beginning and end of STV’s weather broadcasts until the end of the year.
Previous sponsors of STV’s weather forecasts have included Esure Insurance, Powergen and Sheila’s Wheels.
Jon Crocker, group head at Specsavers’ creative department, commented: “Specsavers has produced an animation that is really appealing and a fun reminder of the importance of visual health. We very much hope it helps to brighten wintry days for STV audiences.”
