A free iPhone application has launched offering discount vouchers for high-street chains such as Dorothy Perkins, Coffee Republic, La Tasca and Thomas Cook.

Users can download Voucher Cloud’s digital vouchers direct to their screen to be redeemed at point of purchase.

The application, created by Bristol based promotions specialists Invitation Digital,  is in the final beta testing phase and will launch on iPhone in February, allowing consumers to use the digital vouchers to save money in participating restaurants, bars and in-stores.

Users show the voucher on their phone screen to a member of staff for the necessary discount.

Brands currently involved with the application are AMF, Azendi, Bowlplex, Café Rouge, Carluccio, Chessington World of Adventures, Chiquito, Coffee Republic, Dorothy Perkin, Faith, Fitness First, Frankie & Benny’s, Headmasters, Hob salons, Hotel Chocolat, Hotel du Vin, IMAX, La Tasca, Majestic Wine, Malmaison, Marco Pierre White Restaurant, Perfect Pizza, Picturehouse Cinema, Rush, Slug & Lettuce, Strada, Ten Pin, Thomas Cook, Youngs and Zizzi.

Retailers are able to set the period the offer runs for, the number of downloads per user or in total, the location for the offer and the level or type of discount. Retailers can also integrate a barcode or reason code into their offer to make the transaction quicker and allow the retailer to monitor the uptake of the digital offer and integrate the data into their own sales systems.

Retailers can amend or submit new offers and then track redemptions, as well as receiving highly valuable commercial data.

An online portal will support the application with PDF versions of the vouchers available through the app which will also roll out across all Smartphones beginning with Android in the Spring.

Greg LeTocq, managing director of Invitation Digital, explained; “Vouchercloud brings paper discount vouchers right up-to-date. Our fully integrated application will transform the way consumers save money every day – the days of the printed voucher are short-lived.”
