MacSween Haggis began an offer yesterday on its new website, created by Storm ID, which promised to send 10 free packs of Haggis to the first 500 people to register on the site.
The promotion, by the Bruntsfield brand has been launched to celebrate the beginning of the Six Nations Rugby tournament this weekend and promote its One Minute Haggis range.
Storm ID was also behind the creation of the promotional pages for the giveaway and the social networking campaign on Facebook and Twitter.

So they are giving away 5000 packets? That's a lot of leftovers from Burns Night! :-)
I didn't win one - but I enjoyed reading disclaimer number 4. (Yes, I know I'm sad.) 'If we have ran out... '
You can't not win 10 packs! If you are among the first 500 to register on the site, you get 10 packs. Simple. And they are running out fast, but if you are quick you can get yours!
This promotion has backfired quite dramatically for MacSweens. I didn't win any free haggis and so am never going to buy MacSweens ever again! Damn you MacSweens, damn you!!
I've entered but haven't heard the good or bad news....... how did they let you know?
I got an email this morning saying...I'd won! Wahey! Although I did enter last night.
Damn... no email as yet, bad news then.
Today, I will mostly be eating..... halls haggis!
I'll be sticking to a wee tin of Grants...
Bet they take more than 1 minute though...
I've just been emailed to say that a 'case of MacSween's Microwave haggis is on its way'...
Great Stuff!
Thanks for the tip-off Kenny, I had given up hope of winning anything but your post inspired me to check my emails.... I'm delighted to say that I too have won the haggis.... feeling quite emotional now, never won anything before.... i'd like to thank my parents for introducing me to this mighty fine product........
Checked my emails, looks like it's haggis for breakfast, lunch and tea.
Sweet.
Pass us the ginger.
I won too. This has to be the best thing I've ever won in advertising. Perhaps The Drum should make Chip Shop awards edible too.
Glad you won also 'anon. Wed 3 Feb 2010 10:45' -
The tatties and neeps are on and the 'uisge beatha' - breathing!!!
The postman will no doubt be late...
well what do you know - I also won the haggis ... which will be hot-footing it to the office for a fortnight's worth of breakfasting!!
