Former Galaxy brand managing director Healy joins GMG Radio
Former Galaxy brand managing director Healy joins GMG RadioMartyn Healy, former creative director at Emap Radio and brand managing director of Galaxy, is to join GMG Radio as managing director of its North East office.
Healy will begin his role of overseeing the day-to-day running of GMG Radio across the North East on 22 February.
He will have a key focus on programming and commercial opportunities for all three of its stations, Smooth Radio, Real Radio and Rock Radio.
Healy has been working as a freelance consultant and trainer since 2008.
Billy Anderson, regional director of GMG Radio, commented: "Martyn is an exceptional addition to the GMG Radio team and I'm sure the strength of his roots in the North East will help grow Smooth Radio, Real Radio and Rock Radio to greater heights. With the station behind him I believe we are ready to become a market leader across the North East."
