Aberdeen design and advertising firm The Agency has appointed Adam Phillips to the company's new role of arts and business development director.

Phillips, 30, has worked for several arts and business organisations including the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, the Grampian Youth Orchestra, Aberdeen Journals and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

In his newly-created role, he will be responsible for identifying business development and arts opportunities and expanding the agency’s client base.

He also aims to assist businesses in benefiting from closer contact or sponsorship with the arts, creating profitable opportunities for both arts-based organisations and companies.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for me and through harnessing my experience in both business and arts I aim to provide our clients with an unrivalled service, utilising my skills, expertise and creativity," Phillips said.
