Media Square has announced that Roger Parry is to step down as its non-executive chairman.
The news comes just a month after Parry took up the role and the search for his replacement is now underway.
Media Square will hope to have his successor in place in July, when Parry will step down after the company's AGM.
Parry was appointed executive chairman in July 2007 and led an emergency turnaround at the group following a spate of failed acquisitions.
He instigated a three-year plan to simplify the group's structure, cut costs and bring down debt, a feat seemingly achieved according to the group's most recent trading update which said its cost base was "much lower than in previous years".
Last November Peter Reid was appointed as chief executive, allowing Parry to move into the non-exec role.
