Three radio stations in the north west have secured a deal to become official radio partners for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in 2010.

Bauer Media’s Radio City, Rock FM and Key 103 across Liverpool, Manchester and Preston were appointed by the charity due to their reach of over 1.2million listeners as they look to recruit new runners for this year’s race.

The stations will support six events across the North West between May and July.

Steve King, regional managing director for Bauer Media’s North West stations says: “To secure the deal we offered a competitive proposal of promotional airtime, web, newsletter and event support. We are also able to offer greater reach and engagement than any of our competitors, making us a really strong media partner. Each of our stations is very excited about promoting the event on air, on line, on the page and on the street.  The stations and their great marketing teams will be encouraging as many people as possible across the NW to take part in this truly worthwhile event.”
