A new identity and brand proposition is being developed for East Manchester by design agency Hemisphere, the Drum has learned.

The Manchester consultancy has been appointed by the urban regeneration company New East Manchester Ltd and is working to identify the key messages and communication channels for the area’s potential audiences of new residents and business investors who it hopes will be attracted to the area as a result of ongoing investment in Ancoats, New Islington and Sportcity.

Meanwhile, Hemisphere has also been appointed the Northwest Development Agency (NWDA) to develop its domestic tourism campaign for this year through the NWDA design roster.

The campaign will be targeted at the ABC1 UK short break market and will have a special focus on cultural and countryside getaways.
