The Drum understands that the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games logo, being designed by Marque, is to be unveiled on Monday.
The logo will be unveiled at a press conference at the Clyde Auditorium on Monday morning after nearly six months in development.
Marque was appointed by the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee in October following a lengthy tender process which began in April of last year.
In the end, 66 agencies applied for the project, before 10 were asked to be involved in chemistry sessions. That number was reduced further to six agencies which were given the full brief. Marque was then chosen ‘unanimously’ as a result.
The selection process was facilitated by Andy Crummey of The Observatory.

FFS! Scott and Anon 09:58 chill out - we know it won't BE UNVEILED UNTIL MONDAY. We were being a bit tongue in cheek anticipating the response.
I think this is very promising – let's not get all negative!

Quite simply an awful logo. Trying very hard to be cute and clever, failing quite easily.

Anon's at least let us judge the final logo before letting forth the negative waves.

There's clearly been a mix-up. This was one of the ideas put forward by BJL for re-branding Crown Decorating Centres.
Hard for a Client to whittle down from 66 entrants, my comment was that as a many as 10 were asked to be involved in chemistry sessions, seems a lot of time for both sides to commit to (or donate if you are an agency). That number was reduced further to six agencies which were given the full brief.
Seems like quite a crowded podium with 3 extra steps being needed.
is this it or NOT!
