Following a four-way-pitch, Crown Paint has appointed BJL as its new advertising agency, ousting incumbent TBWA\Manchester after 10 years.
The paint company recently completed a refinancing deal of £25m and plans to invest in its brands which includes Crown, Crown Decorating Centres, Crown Trade, Sandtex and Sadolin.
Liz Hickson, marketing director at Crown commented, "It’s an exciting time for Crown as we embark on a new strategic direction which we are confident will make an impact on the whole sector. In BJL we also saw a vision and enthusiasm for our fabulous stable of brands which resonated with the whole team here."
Hickson was promoted to the role of marketing director last April having previously held the role of marketing controller.
MediaEdgeCIA will continue to handle media planning and buying on the account while Code Computerlove is the digital agency.

Congrats to BJL. Back in the day BDH did some great work for Crown, including the paint rain drops and the old Breathe-easy ad was probably the best TV ad the agency ever did.
Shame it didn't go to Driven. I was looking forward to a singing pot of emulsion.
Dulux have been spanking them for years. they need a fresh coat.
look forward to seeing happy families smiling and painting walls.
