Glasgow-based luxury chocolate brand Kshocolat has been saved from administration having been bought over by Bon Bon Buddies.
The novelty children sweets maker, which has headquarters in South Wales, has bought the assets and the brand, including the Hot Choc brand.
Scottish company Kschocolat went into administration at the beginning of February which saw the loss of 25 jobs at the company.
Bon Bon Buddies has said that it is now looking to invest in the Kshocolat brands.
Chris Howarth, managing director of Bon Bon Buddies, said: “We are delighted to have completed this excellent acquisition against strong competition.
"The Kshocolat and Hot Choc brands will allow us to extend our market presence into the premium chocolate market in the UK and Europe with this exciting premium confectionery range.”
Tom MacLennan, head of recovery of administrator RSM Tenon, added: “Kschocolat is a very strong brand with enormous potential for further growth. We are delighted that Bon Bon Buddies, which has a major presence and outstanding reputation in the confectionary market, has acquired the brand and will now take it to the next stage of development. We wish Bon Bon Buddies every success with their plans for the future of the brand.”

I'll be interested to see how the brand develops with new owners. Not sure how much involvement Simon Coyle is going to have but Bon Bon Buddies will want a return on their investment.
I have to say it sickens me a bit to see this happen. The company has made 25 really good people redudant and yet it appears that the management are still going to be back in charge when as others have commented here, it was the management that helped to cause the issues in the first place. I'll watch with interest as to what happens next because as mentioned, Bon Bon Buddies are going to expect a return.
