It has been reported that following its acquisition of Somerfield and the Britannia Building Society, The Co-Operative Group is to review its £60m media planning and buying account, held by Rocket.

The in-house procurement department will handle the review and signals another change in the marketing activities of The Co-Operative not long after a review which saw 14 agencies appointed to its roster with TBWA/Manchester made lead creative agency.

That move closely followed a restructure which led to senior redundancies within the Co-Operative Group’s marketing department.
