What is the relevance of this list. It just gives a lot of 'over egoed-look at me' types even more amunition to swan about full of their own importance.

So this is a competition to see who gets the most amount of their employees to vote for them? There's some decent companies mentioned though. Would be interesting to see how many votes the no.1 gets, as it would give a good indication on the number of votes cast.

The trouble with a provincial P*ssing contest is no-one gives a sh*t. Treat it as a laugh, and something to browse over with a mid morning coffee. Power 100 is a tongue in cheek title I'm sure.

I didn't realise you could employ so many people with so little turnover. We have many of the managing directors of some of these companies in looking for work saying they have laid off most of the staff (like all of us) and surprise surprise they have big numbers of staff and big turnover.... is this for real!!!!

I won't mention any names, but the more I hear from one of today's "heavyweights" the more I'm convinced of them suffering from some sort of serious mental illness. Seriously, mate. Sort it out.

What exactly were the criteria for selection? - perhaps if we know that we can start making positive comment (or otherwise).

If it's a "who got the most votes" contest then it's not really a Power 100 - it's a "Vote 100".

There are without doubt many great and good people on the list so far - but several relevant comments below and on earlier threads as to the rationale for selection.

Always nice to be noted however...

One of the (American loud voice) POWER 100 details how she had a choice between seeing the world via a job on the QE2, and taking a job with British Waterways. She goes on to proudly state how she 'chose the latter and never looked back'. I respect the fact that everyone's different but isn't that really depressing...

How can someone like Frazer Bradshaw who has built up a tremendous outfit in the SW be below some of these other agencies. This list is completely pointless, other than commenting on it for fun :)

Ha. To quote Scott Alexander "Weakness, is to trust and rely on others. Those closest to you, are potentially your greatest threat".
