A single supplier framework is to be created by Kent County Council to deliver services for Public and Statutory Notices Advertising.

Working with a budget of £700,000, the successful applicant will be responsible for the advertising of notices for Traffic Regulation Orders and Stopping Up Orders in local newspapers through Kent which target the local communities.

The notices will be sourced from several contact points within the Council, with the supplier make responsible for placing the notice advertisements into the correct publication at the appropriate time, in order to match the objection period related to each notice.

Electronic and paper copies of each advert will also be provided by the supplier to the Council for invoicing purposes.
With more than 900 Council notices per annum are advertised throughout Kent, the Council is looking to reduce advertising costs over the duration of the contract.

All expressions of interest should be registered through the South East Business Portal before 14 April.

This week, the Scottish Government U-turned on a plan to move its public notice advertising out of newspapers onto a bespoke online platform, which would have saved it around £6m a year.
