Sumo has developed a campaign to promote the English Heritage Picnic Concerts, which are being launched today in London.

The English Heritage Picnic Concerts are held in two of England’s most stunning properties Kenwood House and Audley End.

This year the concerts feature artists including Will Young, Jamie Cullum, Diana Krall, Jools Holland and Rufus Wainwright.

The campaign uses "a colourful illustrative design" to depict the relaxed summer atmosphere of the picnic concerts, creating a "warm and inviting" look for the promotional campaign.

Jim Richardson, managing director at Newcastle-based Sumo said: "We were asked to create a striking campaign which will raise awareness of the concert series as one of the must see events of the summer."

The website for the Picnic Concert was launched today, and the campaign to promote the events will roll out over the next three months across press and outdoor advertising and promotional literature.

Sumo was appointed to the English Heritage design roster for a three year period in January this year.

Looking good, SUMO! Looks like the distinctive illustrative style of Michael 'ham shank' Sutton if i'm not very much mistaken.
