Refinery has brought in three new recruits, including Stephen Bagshaw as senior art director.

Bagshaw joins the Manchester marketing agency having previously worked at Finch as senior art director, Kindred in Leeds and London, AIR Advertising, MAP and JWT.

Also coming on board the agency will be Laura Dines, previously of 999 Design and Charles Mason & Associates in Macclesfield as a designer and Sonja Frank, who has most recently worked freelance, who joins as an artwork.

Nigel Papworth, managing director at Refinery, said: “Taking a bullish approach to future growth, at a time when many agencies are simply looking to sustain their position, we’re continuing to invest in our team. In the past few months we’ve had our biggest ever recruitment drive and recruited more than nine people at every level, from Senior Creatives and Account Directors to junior staff. It comes on the back of come great new business wins as well as increased spend from existing clients.”
