Historic Scotland rolls out final TV campaign from The UnionHistoric Scotland rolls out final TV campaign from The Union

Less than a week after announcing that its account was to move to Newhaven, Historic Scotland has unveiled its final TV campaign to be created by The Union.

The campaign, which promotes Historic Scotland’s 'first three months free' membership deal, once again features actor Hamish Clarke, this time riding a white horse outside a castle, while advertising the offer to visitors.

A dedicated microsite has also been created by Union Digital to promote membership to Historic Scotland, and its forthcoming events.

he 'Make Your Own History' message will be promoted through a mix of marketing elements including PR support, a leaflet door drop, text messaging and point of sale material at Historic Scotland attractions.

Last week, The Drum learned that Newhaven had won the above-the-line advertising account through the Scottish Government Framework, after eight years at The Union.

Liked the ad, bit of fun out of what is essentially quite a dry brief. LOVED the microsite, found Duncan's address to camera a bold move and also the navigation was cool too... I hope it is sucessful.
