Manchester digital marketing agency Code Computerlove has brought in five new members of staff including a new production manager.
Alex Nicholls has joined the team as production manager from McCann Erickson Manchester where she was traffic manager. Prior to that she was homepage & implementation manager for JD Williams, leading a team responsible for the homepage content management of more than 40 retail websites.
Nicholls will now be charged with overseeing the day-to-day management of the production schedule to ensure work is finished on time and on budget.
Emma Maddocks also joins from McCann Manchester as project manager, as has Tom Rigden, who joins from Digital Therapy.
Maddocks will work across a number of clients including McArthurGlen, First TransPennine Express, and the agency’s newest account Beaverbrooks, while Ridgen will work closely with Code’s team of account directors and look after projects on a day to day basis. His clients include the NUS and Matalan, and he will also manage miscellaneous campaign based initiatives.
Jono Casley has also joined as a Flash developer from Real Affinity in Leeds, while Ben Haddock has been appointed as a junior designer through the agency’s Institute of Computerlove scheme.
Meanwhile, Ste Brennan has also been given a new role at the agency, moving from development director to innovation technologist, responsible for developing ground-breaking technologies within the agency. Brennan will also become a ‘technical evangelist’ for the agency, writing articles and whitepapers for blogs and industry publications.
Tim Peel will now take on the role of development manager.
Tony Foggett, CEO of Code, explained: ”We’re continuing to adapt the business for the next period of growth by investing in infrastructure, people and process. Space to accommodate new team members has been created with the addition of a new 2000 sq. ft creative hub (at Ducie House) and altered main office at Jutland House to create flexible project areas, brainstorming rooms and space to foster collaborative working and creativity. We’re continually on the look out for more talent to bolster the team, including our current search for a client services director.”
As to Brennan’s promotion, he added: “With innovation at our core, to cater for the pace of advances in the digital sector, we’ve promoted Ste Brennan to focus solely on new product development, and created and Innovation Group and Ideas blog to crowd-source agency-wide ideas against client briefs and spot innovation opportunities.”

Great additions in Alex, Emma, Tom and Jono - well done guys :-)
ScarfBoy appears to be rubbing himself up against the lady in the gigs, too.
Innovation Technologist! What's that all about?
Tom's had at least 2 other jobs since leaving Digital Therapy the digital agency that went bust almost 2 years ago!
