Marketing Industry Network event explores best use of social mediaMarketing Industry Network event explores best use of social media

The Marketing Industry Network is to hold a Using Social Networks for Business event at the end of this month in Leeds.

The afternoon event will include speakers such as Kate Wooding from TicToc, Colin Gilchrist from Digital Face and Adam Gordon from Gordon BDM who will discuss the benefits of using social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as looking at the pitfalls and sharing their insight into how to be engage with audiences.

The event will begin at 1.30pm on 29 April at the Noodle Hotel in Leeds.

Why is this news? Two tiny 'companies' talking to us about a new media channel that they are not experts in? Come on Drum - grow some crystals and don't promote tat - just makes you look like something similar.

I think you'll find that it's not news, it should have been filed under events. And while I wouldn't claim to be a social media expert, I do think the companies who are talking have got experience of using social media for business.
