The Drum has learned that JD Williams has created a new creative agency roster and has appointed Principles following an eight-way pitching process.
At the time of writing The Drum was awaiting a response to find out the full roster of agencies, but it was understood that eight agencies were involved in the pitch process.
The roster will work across a number of fashion brands including Simply Be, Simply Yours, Fifty Plus, Naturally Close, Shapely Figures, Ambrose Wilson, Oxendales, Julipa, Jacamo, Fashion World and Shoe Tailor.
Principles was reappointed by JD Williams to handle its TV advertising in July 2008 and will manage customer recruitment and retention activity through brand development and strategy, direct mail, catalogue stationery, inserts and press advertising.
The news follows the announcement last week by Seven Seas that its 25 year relationship with Principles was to come to an end.
