Richard Blackburn, former managing director of Zone and regional director of Kinetic has joined Taxi Media as its commercial director.

Having worked in outdoor advertising for 28 years, Blackburn will begin in his new role today.

He has also previously served as regional sales director at Maiden Outdoor (Titan) and began his career at British Transport Advertising.

In 2007 he joined Kinetic Worldwide as UK regional director, and then launched its precision planning agency Zone for regional and local advertisers in March 2008, operating as its MD.

Since leaving Kinetic in May 2009 he has been an independent media adviser, helping people understand the value of their media assets and advising on sales strategy and commercialisation.
