Wispa unveils web games and iPhone plansWispa unveils web games and iPhone plans

Wispa is working with CMW and Clusta to add arcade-style games to its website and launch an iPhone app.

The chocolate brand, which relaunched its website at the beginning of this year, has added the Take 5 section to its site which invites visitors to break from their daily routine to play two retro-style games.

Wispa Bar Wars is a tennis game and Wispa Bash challenges players to destroy a brick wall by flinging a ball at it. Players can upload their scores to Facebook and challenge friends.

The games will go live on the Wispa website this week and iPhone version of Bar Wars is in the pipeline.

London-based CMW led design and strategy of Take 5 while Birmingham digital agency Clusta acted as technical build partner.

Cadbury's senior brand manager, Ross Farquhar, said: "The Wispa site continues to evolve as a place that fans can make their own. We are constantly learning about what our fans want online and developing wispa.co.uk accordingly."

I'm not too sure about this move to be honest. Wispa tends to have a following from an older demographic who recall the classic days of marathon, curly wurly etc and not so the more recent chocs like boost, kit kat chunky etc. This form of advertising may actually be better suited to younger more bold brands
