The event which recognises and celebrates the very best in the Scottish live events industry is now in its third year and has gone onto spawn the UK Event Awards, which take place later this year in Manchester.
A number of new categories have been introduced to this year's Scottish Event Awards, which aim to expand the scope of the event and highlight even more of the high quality events being produced by Scottish-based companies.
The new categories are:
• Event Professional of the Year – This category is for any individual who has contributed with great results and shown dedication and commitment to the events industry
• Best Student Event – To recognise any event organised by students, either individually or as a team
• Best Experiential Event - To demonstrate how events activity fit in with the broader brand experience campaign or initiative
• Best Event in an Outdoor Space - for any event that took place in an outdoor space
The judges for this year's event are: John Sachs of The variety Club, Lucy Gemmell of Rhubarb Food & Design, Alsion Wills of Confex Group and Izania Downie of Eventia.
